The most popular internet advertising service available is Google Adwords. However, you can also look into running ads through Yahoo, Bing or even social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace. I would start with one to begin with and once you have a firm grasp of a successful campaign - then set up another campaign with another provider.

The first thing you will need to do is determine your online advertising budget. A simple way to do this without much thought is to take 20% of what you expect to earn and apply that to your PPC campaign. This can seem quite pricey at first - because if you want to sell a $1,000 product or service - you should expect to pay at least $200 per month in online advertising for that one product or service. This is actually a minimum amount. You should be closer to a daily budget of at least $20 - which is closer to what you should be spending, but also 60% of one sale. As long as you at least break even, you will be able to learn the best process to use to produce the maximum results.

It isn't enough to just throw up a lot of ads on the internet and hope to capture some sales. You need to attract the right kind of people (people most likely to buy your product or service) and this requires designing the right type of ad and targeting the right type of market. This process is called Pay Per Click Management.

If for example you are running a tour in Thailand, you might want to organize your ads to show up only to relevant countries most likely to have customers showing an interest in traveling to that country. A little research will tell you that more people travel to Thailand from Europe than they do from the United States. So, instead of wasting a lot of money on ads targeting people less likely to use your service or buy your product, it is better to focus on improving your Pay Per Click Management strategy.

This includes not only having your ad target the right people, but also that you provide the right keywords in your ads to ensure you narrow down your viewers to only those most likely to purchase. Your ad should be as specific as possible. Consider these revisions which start at a generic keyword and work towards a niche: Travel -> Travel in Thailand -> Vacation on an island in Thailand -> Samui Island Thailand Vacation. Travel is just too broad - so the more specific you get the more likely you are going to have customers that are looking for your product or service. If you don't get specific, you will be paying every time someone clicks on your ad only to have them realize it isn't what they really want. So, to save money - make sure the people that click are the people that want to buy. Don't waste money trying to convince them to buy.

This will still require a lot of testing and you should expect to test and try a variety of ads each with different keywords and benefits. Then, at the end of every month you can cut the fat and focus on the ads that produce the most results. Expect to invest at least 3 months in Pay Per Click Management to truly get a good idea of what works and what doesn't.

More reasons to use Pay Per Click when you are #1 on Google

Okay, that's the main reason for being on top of paid and organic search. Now let's consider other important reasons.

Over the past few years there has been a lot of shuffling around in the world of search and in who actually supplies the results that the different search engines show when you use their search function.

America Online used to provide their own results until the end of December 2005 when Google invested $1 billion for a 5% stake. Google now provides both paid and natural (organic) search results to AOL Search users. It's a pretty good deal for Google considering AOL is #4 after their own search, MSN and Yahoo. It's even better when you consider that AOL users typically convert into buyers at a rate of 6% versus the average 2-3% across the web.

There are approximately 17 search engines exchanging results, some paid and some natural, depending on which one you use.

MSN is the third; they has recently launched MSN Live which furnishes their own results.

their Adwords scheme. A top position in organic results will net you 20 clicks per 1000 impressions. Being at the top of both will net an astounding 60 clicks.

Now I don't know about you folks, but I know the difference between 1-2% and 6% when it comes time to deliver reports to clients. This is an absolutely huge piece of information.

For the sake of this article, let's take a look at Google.

First off, Google furnishes two different results with their Search Network - Primary Search Results and Paid Search results. If you have an Adwords account and are in the top three positions, plus chose the Search Network in "Campaign Settings," your ad is syndicated across seven other search engines and their top results.

Yahoo Search Marketing provides results from their Pay Per Click advertising to these second tier search engines. But again, it's under the same pretense -- you have paid to be in the top positions.

http://www.tentacool.net

Overview Of Software Development and Web Services

Link Popularity Building Strategies Information

Link building is important aspect of search engine optimization. It is one of abuse also. Cross Linking is an accepted method designed to build traffic and boost Page Rank. It relies on two websites approving to point an outbound link to the other site. Several website holders spend a huge contract of time for exchanging links. If did correctly, got some good anchor text too. Reciprocal links have now extremely little effect, while they will not harm the target site neither will they distribute the benefits to rankings that they once did.

Link Potency
Discovery potential link Exchanger is not too difficult. Search any one of the popular search engines and find out sites that match from intention keywords or check the link partners of relevant competitors. Most of the direct competitors will probably not want to link with particular site. If they done then so much better. So from the remainder find if they have good Page Rank and a links page. Now write to the webmasters of these sites asking for a reciprocal link. If there is no email id try for webmaster @domain or info @domain.

Must mansion want to write a normal letter telling them about site and why believe about complement each other. Some group even put an outbound URL before contacting the site. In any case give the URL of particular links page where propose placing the link. Remember that anchor text carries weight with the major search engines so give them the exact phrase. Some webmasters may refuse to particular link. Because may have a low or even zero Page Rank as reported, don't be discouraged and point out the benefits of keyword rich anchor text from a relevant page.

The most common features include:
• Users initiate link wishes
• Administration features to check and agree the request.
• Monitor the inbound-link with automated removal of underhanded linker.
• Making of modified search engine friendly link page.
• Request reciprocal links from webmaster.
• Modify email template.

Linking Techniques
Direct Edge and Indirect Edge
Information retrieval (IR) is named as Edges. The first document links to second document link is direct edges. This is a strong possibility that the second document is related to first document. Simultaneously there is no direct link from second document to first document. This is also a strong possibility that document second is related in some way to first document. This function activates an indirect edge between second documents in to first document.

Double Direct Edge
The documents are interchange by each other name as double direct edge. It has consequence for sites that have a link profile that is made up mainly from reciprocal links which can be easily marked by analyzing edges between documents. If any indirect edges were shown an abnormal link profile and search engine ranking may struggle.

Triangulated Linking Link
The documents are interchange by like circle for example take three document names I, II and III. The process of link exchange I is add II then the II is add III then the III is add I. Now no one add more then one but all of the indirectly inter change. Webmasters and SEO’s are gradually switching on to begin triangulated linking regrettably this linking strategy is also easily detect by search engines.

Authority Group Linking
Usually articles were written with the sole purpose of create one way links from the article to the aimed page. It can be adapted to make additional application to the aim by including a link out from the article to a right page.

http://www.tentacool.net

4 Steps to Getting the best out of Google Adsense

Sometimes, it is the small events in life that makes it so exciting. Just like the day I made my first 3 cents from Google adsense – NOT 3 dollars, NOT 30 dollars. Just 3 cents. And yet, it was a very exciting moment as to what the 3 cents represent.

I made my first 3 cents online when someone click on one of the adverts on one of my web pages. This is just the beginning. Subsequently, every time someone clicks on an ad from my web site, I will be paid a fraction of the profit. This is Google Adsense for you.

The more visitors I have, the more money I will make. It is just so simple. The pages that I have created out of interest and paid out from my very own pocket could pay for themselves or even help generate a profit. That is what it is so exciting about those 3 cents.

The greatest thing is that it is really easy, because Google Adsense was doing all the hard work for me. All I had to do was give them ad space on my web site and all hard work is almost done. All I had to do was to keep my pages updated and attract a steady stream of visitors, which I was already doing. The truth is, anyone else could do what I am doing.

Step 1::>> Picking the right topic
It is always important to pick out the right topic when you are starting a web site or blog. The topic is vital as the ads are paid differently. Take a look at the free listing (consist of a list of high paying adsense keywords - http://www.tentacool.net/article/index_ppc.cfm) if you haven’t a clue about what topic you would want to use for your website.

Step 2::>> Making your ads blend into your content seamlessly
The best way to attract visitors to click on your ads is when they do not even know that it is an advert in the first place. Adsense Ad units could be positioned in such a way to completely blend in to your content. Take a look at this example and see if you can tell the ads apart from the site content.

http://www.tentacool.net/article/index_download_internet_utilities.cfm?aid=1

Step 3::>> Using Images
One of the greatest tricks of the trade is to make use of images around your various ad units. Many people have seen success by placing images around the various ad units. Images help to capture the user’s attention and increase the likelihood of them clicking on the ads. Many people have seen a drastic increase in their adsense profits even since implementing this.

http://www.tentacool.net/article/entertainment_index.cfm?sub_ID=70

Step 4::>> PPC Arbitrage
Traffic is the most important thing if you want to have consistent profit from your adsense site. Start looking for low value niche items to attract people to you site. You are looking for terms with a large gap between the price you are bidding on adwords and the price you are getting on Adsense. If you pay $0.10 a click and get $1.00 a click you make $0.90 each click. To get your adsense ad approved you will need to ‘add some value’ along the way. You can make a killing or get taken to the cleaners with this one, so make sure you know what you are doing before you try it.

Google webmaster resources on the web

Google Adsense, Adwords, Analytics, Google Checkout, Google Code

http://www.tentacool.net/article/index_download_google_webmaster.cfm?aid=1

The Death of Adwords for Affiliates

Recently, I just read "The Death of Adwords for Affiliates" report. Did you read the "The Death of Adwords for Affiliates" report yet? There are some parts of report I have agreed with whereas I disagreed with some statements in the report as well. READ THIS: If you are truly serious about the "Online Advertising Ppc Adwords" marketing strategy to grow your home based internet marketing business.

A few years ago, the online advertising ppc marketing or pay per click marketing is the most popular & effective method of advertisement employed by various websites on the Internet. The online advertising ppc marketing may often be referred to as pay for position, cost per click or pay for performance. But regardless of the term used, the online advertising ppc marketing is the online advertiser's medium of choice for promoting products and services to online consumers.

The online advertising ppc marketing is beneficial to both the advertiser and the consumer. Advertisers using the online advertising ppc marketing only need to pay for the actual click through linked to their sites from search engines. At the same time as consumers are relieved of having to get annoying emails or pop-up ads for products and services.

When an online consumer searches for a specific product or service on the Internet, corresponding online advertising ppc marketing ads are also displayed alongside the results generated by the search engine. This forms a highly targeted consumer group that is more likely to purchase a specific product or service. In addition, websites get to limit their advertisement costs with the use of online advertising ppc marketing. The online advertising ppc marketing is truly a winning solution for both parties.

However, in "The Death of Adwords for Affiliates" report, it shows that there is NO room for affiliate marketing entrepreneurs in this Internet Marketing Advertising Ppc Adwords game. Also, it reveals that big companies have very large budget for keyword bidding and have a TON of keywords to reach their targets. And those companies want to kick out the low-budget players of this game.

Personally, I believe that the large companies have their large budget for keyword bidding and it is difficult for small home based internet marketing business to go into the bidding war. Nevertheless, I disagree that there is NO room for small home based internet marketing business. I strongly believe that there are no any companies trying to be ALL things to ALL customers. If those small home based internet marketing businesses can’t find the opportunity to make profits on the internet through the "Internet Marketing Advertising Ppc Adwords" game, then they have to create their own opportunity in the industry.

Also, how many large companies with large budget are there in the markets right now? How many keywords do they cover? Is it 10,000 keywords per market? There are a lot questions in my mind now. And it is hardly for me to believe that Adwords for Affiliates are death completely!

Additionally, I believe that Google loves high quality, original, relevancy and unique content website. The key of their success is "relevancy". They have to give exactly whatever people search. They hated rubbish, non-relevancy or spam websites. It is a great real home based business opportunity for affiliate marketing entrepreneurs to build a high quality website rather than a spamming website.

However, in my opinion, you’ll discover the possible drawbacks of Online Advertising Ppc below.

Despite the obvious advantages of online advertising ppc marketing, there are possible drawbacks that can cancel out its benefits. One of the most common problems associated with online advertising ppc marketing is the inexperience of many internet entrepreneurs attempting to use this profitable advertisement method. Simply submitting online advertising ppc marketing ads to a search engine such as Google, does not make up the entire campaign.

The online advertising ppc marketing requires a calculated and systematic approach to setting up ads. Online Advertising Ppc marketing involves the use of keywords and biddings in order to get top placement on a search engine. Getting top search engine placement helps boost traffic to a website that can easily translate into profit.

Without the necessary experience and knowledge to carry out a typical Online Advertising Ppc marketing ad, may turn into an expensive campaign that does not convert into profit. PPC marketing ads also require continuous funding, as discontinued payments will also result in discontinued ads. This can be unfavorable for a website that has already built high rankings with their PPC marketing ads.

Bidding on keywords can also be quite costly, as the growing number of websites on the web struggle against each other to bid on the most popular keyword for their PPC marketing ad. Obviously small home based affiliate businesses are at a disadvantage here since big business websites are able to pay more for popular keywords related to their site. This is because most small businesses only set aside a small portion of their capital for advertisement, putting them at a disadvantage.

You’ll also discover how to run your own effective Online Advertising Ppc marketing campaign below.

There are a number of things that a website should consider when running an effective Online Advertising Ppc marketing campaign. It is important to develop a marketing plan in order to get the most return on investment from Online Advertising Ppc marketing. Selecting the most appropriate keywords that relate to the site's business is essential in Online Advertising Ppc marketing.

However, simply choosing the most popular keywords does not necessarily translate into profit. Selecting more specific keywords that will put a site within the first ten results of a search also gets greater awareness from online consumers. In addition, it doesn't cost as much as getting the top spot for Online Advertising Ppc marketing.

It is also important that a website constantly monitors the performance of their Online Advertising Ppc marketing campaign. This will help the site modify any existing Online Advertising Ppc marketing ad to make it more productive. At the same time any Online Advertising Ppc marketing ad that has not proven effective can be immediately discontinued. Altering Online Advertising Ppc marketing ads is a continuous process that many websites do in order to increase their return on investment.

My highest recommendation is to find the RIGHT professional & success internet entrepreneurs to help you and be a personally mentor for building highly profitable Online Advertising Ppc campaign.

The popularity of Online Advertising Ppc marketing has given rise to professionals offering PPC marketing services for small and big businesses. One of the most effective ways is to hire a professional PPC marketing company is advisable for a small business without experience in PPC marketing. Most Online Advertising Ppc marketing companies offer reasonable rates for their services and at the same time produce acceptable results.

An Online Advertising Ppc marketing professional can attend to all the details commonly involved in a PPC marketing campaign. Meanwhile, there are also some statements I disagreed completely. My highest recommendations for affiliate marketing entrepreneur who are using Online Advertising Ppc to boost their affiliate commission are: to build a high quality & relevancy website to your niche markets, discover & expand more nice keywords with “think out of the box” attitude, avoid the keyword bidding war and find great mentors for your home based affiliate business.

http://www.tentacool.net/article/entertainment_info.cfm?Sub_ID=70&ID=279

Google Adwords Professional

An easy to read overview of Google Adwords, and the techniques you can use to maximize your Adwords success. One of the fastest ways to get your website in front of your target customer is to use Google Adwords.

Google Adwords is Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising. Using PPC wisely, you can transform a no-traffic website into a high-traffic profit machine literally overnight. However, you can also waste a whole lot of money if you don't plan your PPC campaign carefully.

Let me fist explain what PPC advertising is. Basically, it's a form of advertising in which you create a small 2-3 line text-based advertisement. The ad will have a headline, which is clickable and links to your website.

Here's an example:

Top Cruise Deals
Great deals on all types of cruises
30% discounts for online purchases
www.your-url.com

You can see examples of these ads in action by going to Google.com and running a search on any search term. After you run your search, you'll find the PPC ads on the right-hand side of the screen. The owners of each of the ads pay Google a fee each time someone clicks on their ad. This fee can be anywhere from .10 cents to several dollars depending on the popularity and demand of the keyword.

The goal of the ad owner is to maximize the number of quality clicks. A quality click is a click from someone that has an interest in what you're trying to sell. A low-quality click is a click from someone that really doesn't have any interest in what you're trying to sell.

Since the space in the Google Sponsored Links area is limited (about 10 slots per page), and the number of people using PPC to advertise their products is fairly large, there has to be a way of controlling who gets what placement (also called Adrank) in the Sponsored Links hierarchy.

Google controls this placement by 3 mechanisms:

1) Keywords/keyphrases
2) Bid price
3) Quality Score

The goal is to get your ad in the Sponsored Links section of the first page (or at most the second page) of the returned Google search results. That means your ad can be anywhere in the Sponsored Links position from 1-10, or 1-20 if you take into account the second page. People don’t normally search beyond the first couple of pages of returned search results, so having your ad appear on the third page (or beyond) diminishes your chances of the ad being seen.

To get your ad in the first or second page of Google’s Sponsored Links, and to maximize the number of quality clicks, you need 3 things:

1) Good Keywords/keyphrases
2) Bid in an active bid range
3) Good Quality Score

Using Good Keywords/Keyphrases:

Keywords (or keyphrases) are the words that people type into Google when they run a search. You need to select the keywords that relate to your product so Google will know when to display your ad. From your perspective (the online Marketer), good keywords are the words that relate to your product. For example, if you run a Google PPC ad campaign and you're selling a course on how to train dogs, then a good keyword list might consist of:

dog
"Dog training"
"Train my dog"
"Training for dogs"
"dog obedience"
"dog growling"

Note: using quotes instructs Google to show your ad only when the searched keywords appear in that particular order.

The above keyword list is then applied to your Google PPC campaign. Now, every time a user runs a search for any of these keywords on Google, your ad COULD be returned in the 'Sponsored Links' section of the returned search results in Google.

As we mentioned previously, the keywords are not the only determining factor governing which ads appear in Google. Keep in mind, there are likely many other people running their own PPC campaigns that have the same keywords as you. And since there are only about 10 slots to place the sponsored ads in Google's first page, the ads that get a position in one of those 10 slots are the ads that are willing to pay the most for each click and the ads that have the higher Quality Score.

A good way to find keywords for your product is to use the Google Adwords Keyword Finder at: https://adwords.google.com/select/main?cmd=KeywordSandbox

Bidding in an Active Bid Range:

All popular (and many not so popular) keywords have an active bid range. The active bid range is the cost per click (CPC) range that results in your ad appearing in a preferred position within Google’s Sponsored Links area (usually position 1-20). Obviously, the higher your ad is in the position, the more active (more clicks) will likely result.

So how much should you pay for each click to make sure you're ad is in the actice bid range? You should first find out what the going rate is for that particular keyword. You can get a good idea of what people are willing to pay for a given keyword by using Overture’s Bid Tool at: http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/search/tools/bidtool/

Note: your goal is to get a position anywhere on the first page of the Google search result, or second page at most, so you really don’t have to make sure you have the highest bid. In fact, you can even make more money by bidding much lower than the highest bid. For example, say you’re bidding on the “dog training” keyphrase and you find that the 1st position for that keyphrase is going for $1.50 per click. You may very well find that the 4th or 5th position is going for $0.30 - $0.40 per click. In this case, I would opt for the 4th or 5th position. The cost savings is quite significant.

Getting High Quality Score:

What is a Quality Score? Well, it’s a few things... The Quality Score is derived from the keywords Click Through Rate (CTR), relevance of the text in the ad to the keyword, how well the keywords has performed in the past, and other things that Google has kindly decided not to share. Since there are some unknown factors here, it’s best to focus on what you can do to increase your Quality Score.

One thing you can do is aim for a high Click Through Rate (CTR). A CTR is a percentage that is calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of times your ad appeared. For example, say your ad appeared 100 times, and out of those 100 times, 1 person clicked on your ad. Your CTR for that ad would then be 1/100=1%.

Another thing you can do is make sure your ad's text is relevant to the keyword. For example, if you were advertising a dog training course and your keyword was “cars”, then the relevancy of the keyword to the ad is low.

All right, that’s the basics of Google Adwords. Give it a try! There's no better way to learn than through doing!
http://www.tentacool.net/article/entertainment_info.cfm?Sub_ID=70&ID=278

Google Adwords Help

Many people ask me how they can get their website listed on the first page of a search result on Google, or in the top ten listed sites. There are actually two ways to accomplish this.

The first, and easiest, way is to hire a firm that specializes in this kind of marketing. They can guarantee that you will be in the top ten, and maybe the top three, sites listed from a search. However, this service can easily cost $2,000 to $10,000 a month.

The other option involves lots of work. You will need to have good keywords, new relevant content added to your site regularly, put this content on free article sites, lots of links to and from your site (though Google may make this obsolete soon), put postings on forums that cover topics related to your website and you can use Google AdWords.

Basically, AdWords is a Pay Per Click (PPC) program that lets you bid on keywords. PPC means that a link that will take people to your site is put on a website that is set up with a PPC program. Every time someone clicks on the link to go to your site you pay a fee. That's where the term Pay Per Click comes from.

Setting up a PPC campaign on Google is pretty easy.

Target your customers by selecting from dozens of languages and almost 200 countries. You can narrow this down even more by selecting from a list of cities and regions.

Create the copy for your ad and select the keywords that will trigger the ad. Google has a tool that will help you select keywords.

Choose what currency you want to use, what you're willing to pay per click and how much you want to spend per day.

Create an AdWords account by providing your e-mail address and a password to Google. When you want to activate your ad, you log into your account and give Google your billing information.

Once this is done you can create multiple Campaigns (ads) and turn them on or off as you wish. Then, when someone does a search, the ads that bid the highest for the keyword used in the search are placed on a list on the right side of the search page.

The order is determined by the highest price paid for a keyword and the popularity of the ad. If two people bid on the keyword "Tennis," then the person who bid $2 per click will be placed above the person who bid $1 per click. If the $2 per click person reaches his budgeted maximum for the day, then his ad will no longer be displayed and the $1 per click person will move to the top of the list. Google does factor in the clickthrough rate, so if my $1 ad is below yours, but a lot more people click on my link, then my ad will be moved above your $2 ad.

So let's do the Yin and Yang thing to see the full story.

Advantages of Google AdWords:

It's easy to set up.

There is no minimum monthly fee.

Google offers many tools so you get the most for your money.

There's no contract. You can start and stop an ad whenever you want.

You can have your ad campaign up and running almost immediately after you create and activate it.

You can access reports that let you know how well your ads are working.

Disadvantages of Google AdWords:

Let's face it, it's an ad. Will anyone look at it or will they just ignore it like they do newspaper and magazine ads? Well, someone must be looking at them or people would stop using AdWords, but I don't think it's as rosie as Google would like you to believe.

Google offers so many help pages it can get confusing, at least to me. I'd like to see an Acrobat file of everything so I can download it to my computer.

You need to constantly monitor, change and fine-tune your ad and keyword selection.

AdWords is ONE thing you can use to promote your site, not the ONLY thing. Don't put all of your eggs into one basket.

Your ad will be small (70 characters maximum) so your copy must be perfect.

As this kind of online advertising becomes more popular, the price will go up. Bigger companies with large advertising budgets will be able to pay more per click than many small businesses.

So is AdWords right for you? That depends on many factors, but if you want to try a PPC program Google would be an easy and affordable way to try it out.

http://www.tentacool.net/article/entertainment_info.cfm?Sub_ID=70&ID=277

Why you should protect your adsense account

It is no doubt that Google Adsense is truly one of the most amazing income sources on the Internet. One can simply paste some code into your web pages and Google will send you monthly cheques, without any of the usual hassles of making sales, keeping stock or supporting customers. However there is still one big problem with Adsense - "Click Fraud".

Click fraud occurs when someone tries to cheat Google by clicking on the Adsense links on his or her own site in order to generate extra income. This is of course very easy to do and usually takes the form of repeated clicks coming from the same PC. Understandably, Google is very concerned about this and regularly checks Adsense accounts for signs of suspicious activity. If you've never tried to cheat Google in this way, you may be thinking that this problem has nothing to do with you.

Hopefully you are right. However you should be aware that there are many reports on the Internet of Adsense accounts being suspended or closed because of "suspicious activity", even though the person involved has never tried to cheat Google.

Here are some scenarios that might lead termination off your adsense account

Case 1: "Hell hath no fury..."
John had a steady $50 a day income from Adsense. Not a fortune but a nice little income.

He split up from his girlfriend. They say "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".

Well in this case, it proved true.

She visited his site and clicked loads of times on his Adsense ads.

It didn't take a lot of effort to do this. However the result was that John's Adsense account was closed down. $50 a day gone in an instant.

Case 2: "Mother, what have you done..."
Jill was proud of her Adsense sites, so she told his family about them.

Her family didn't really understand the concepts, but knew that every time anyone clicked on those little ads on the side of Jill's web pages, Jill got some extra money.

You can guess the rest.

Jill lost her Adsense account overnight, thanks to her own Mother!

There are many more cases around

... people using this to shut down competitors' sites

... people bearing a grudge using it to get their revenge

... bored kids simply doing it for kicks

It's just so easy to do!

The fact is that ANYONE can click on your ads, click their browser Back button, then click on the ads again.

Doing this repeatedly makes it "suspicious activity", which can get your account suspended or closed permanently.

Convincing Google that it was not your fault varies from difficult to impossible. Once your account has been closed, you are not permitted to apply for another account ever again.

I heard of one guy who was so worried about this problem that he checked his own visitor stats every day and contacted Google whenever anything looked even remotely suspicious, just to protect himself.

What did he do when he went on holiday?

Would you believe he removed all the Adsense ads from every one of his sites!

It might sound crazy, but that's just how worried he was about this problem.

So what can you do to protect yourself?

Some have suggested that you can place tracking systems on your sites to track on those IPs have clicked on your ads repeatedly and report immediately to Google if such cases are happening.

Recently, certain softwares have been developed to counter such issues. An example of such softwares would be Adsense Clicklock. This software have features that automatically hides the adsense ads after a particular number of clicks set by the user. Thereafter, the advertising spaces would show replacement ads from Amazon, Overture, Clickbank or anything else you want. This would an excellent way to both protect your adsense account and at the same time promote your affiliate products.

To prevent unnecessary termination of your adsense account, I highly recommend that you start to take action on ways to protect your adsense account today!

Source taken from http://www.tentacool.net

Keys To Pay Per Click Management

What is PPC?
PPC stands for Pay Per Click. Effective pay per click management can be used to increase traffic, reduce cost per click and boost profit. A well managed pay per click campaign can, in fact, make the difference between profitability and loss.

Pay per click advertising on search engines allows you choose keywords you would like your site to appear for when a search is performed. You decide how much you are willing to pay each time a person clicks on the search results. The more you are willing to pay per click, the higher your site will appear in the results for the keywords you choose.

The search engines are primarily one of the best sources for targeted traffic to your website. With PPC advertising, your website can appear on the search results for as many keywords and key phrases of your choice. It allows you to get more targeted site traffic instantly. But Pay Per Click needs effective management as well. Without proper PPC management, you might just be wasting time and money.

Before spending any money with a pay per click search engine, be sure they can answer the following questions:

• How many searches a month are performed at the search engine?
• What major search partners or affiliates does the search engine have?
• How many searches are generated each month by the search partners or affiliates?
• Is it possible to opt out of having your listing appear in the results of the affiliate sites?
• What fraud prevention mechanisms are in place?

This form of advertising has become so popular on Google that it can now be difficult to find keywords that are useful and related to your content without spending a fortune. There are however, some things to keep in mind that will help you to become more profitable with pay per click advertising.

A growing problem among PPC advertisers is that their competition has been known to click on their ads in order to up their bill with Google. This is not always the case, but bewares of this practice. The real goal you have here is to convert the clicks to sales.

For the future of pay per click management agencies, consider this:

• It should now be easier to earn large commissions on pay per click ad spend
• Returns are more easily guaranteed to clients with PPC
• SEO is perceived to be more difficult and less rewarding
• Google themselves intend to drive SEO agencies out of business if they stick to SEO, and they are providing lower hanging fruit to agencies so that they consider switching more clients to pay per click advertising.

Pay Per Click management can bring success to PPC campaigns when done accordingly. Pay per click advertising is based on the auctioning of keywords. The more popular the keyword, the more money a company will pay to use it.

Often PPC advertising generates results immediately, so don't put off upgrading your system if necessary. Always make sure that your site is in top shape before you advertise as well. Sending someone to a site that is incomplete or not in top form will set a bad first impression and you will lose a potential sale.

PPC advertising is a very tricky thing. Pay careful attention to your pay per click campaigns. In many cases the network through which you advertised with freeze your ads for different reasons.

When using pay per click advertising, avoid the top three slots. Top three sites receive a lot of accident clicks and 'test' clicks. You definitely do not want these most of the time, as these searchers wont be as interested in your site as someone who actually read your advertisement and decided to check out your website.

Source ::>> http://www.tentacool.net

How Much Will Does AdWords Cost?

ave you noticed the listings that are placed on a better position in a search engine result page? These listings are on a more visible position because they are paid listings. Many search engines today – especially the major search engines – accept paid listing.

Paid listings have captured the interest of many webmasters and web marketing experts due to its many benefits. Here are some of the most relevant benefits of a paid listing:

• Paid listing allows your website and ads to appear instantly on the search engine result pages or SERPs.

• Paid listing places your website on a more visible area on the search results.

• Paid listing lets you choose the keywords, keyword phrases and search terms to associate with your website or ads.

• Paid listing lets you control the amount you pay for the appearance of your website and ads.

One of the major search engines that accept paid listing is Google. Its paid listing program is known as Google AdWords. Aside from Google, other popular search engines like Yahoo and MSN also encourages webmasters and web advertisers to try their paid listings programs.

Source::>> http://www.tentacool.net

Setting Adsense Money Target

One question I always like to ask a new webmaster is if he makes money from Adsense. Ofcourse, most of them these days atleast have it on their site just for the sake of having it. But are they really making money is the question.

Let me tell you, getting a click now and then is not enough. This is because, Google pays you only when you reach $100 and that is a lot of money if you consider the amount you get paid for one click. So, webmasters who have Adsense ads on their site just because everyone else does it are really doing a favor to Google by providing them space to advertise for FREE!

So, if you are a kind of webmaster or a blogger who wants to make real money from Adsense, what is it that you need to look at? Two things in fact. First your Adsense target and the Second, deadline date by which you want to get that money. Because, this two can set you to plan the traffic numbers and the kind of traffic that you need to have.

Let me take a hypothetical case. Suppose you plan to reach the minimum payout exactly in time for the first payout date from now, then your target is $100 in one month. Quite an ambitious task, I tell you for a beginner, but certainly not a utopian task.

Google forbids webmasters from disclosing the money they make. So, here I choose a hypothetical value of 25 cents per click. Trust me, Google most often pays you better than this. But I choose to show you the hard road.I will perform some simple mathematics now.

Target in mind : $100 per month = $3.33 per day = 333 cents per day.
Amount per click : $0.25
Hence, clicks per day : 333/25 = 14 clicks(approximately)

So, you require 14 clicks per day to get you to the target. Sounds easy or tough? What does it take you to get to those click numbers. The Click Through Rate has been on an average found to be 1 in every 100. With that kind of a ratio, you would need 1400 impressions per day to reach per day.

That, I know looks daunting. But there are certain things to remember. For example, your Click Through Rate might also go upto something like 5% or the amount you earn per click might also be in dollars. All that depends on the kind of ads served on your site, which in turn depends on your site content.

So,as of now, making the above calculation is important. This will help you set yourself a benchmark on a daily basis by which you can compare your daily performance. However, do not change strategies on a daily basis as well. Your revenues tend to fluctuate a lot,and your strategies should always follow the longterm pattern.

Adsense - Get the Clicks

Have you ever wondered why CTR(Click-Through Rate) varies? For beginners, let me take a minute to say that Google measures the success of your Adsense campaign by means of finding out the percentage of impressions of your webpage that results in the ads being clicked. This is called the CTR.

Well, one reason for CTR varying is the relevance of the ads with respect to your site content. That is the prerogative of you as a webmaster. But there is one more aspect, that you should learn to improve your CTR. That is the placement of the right ad at the right place.

What does this mean? Take a look at this. The reddest block is the most readily looked at part by the visitor. Accordingly, placing an ad there would get you more clicks. But do you tend to believe it as such? I do not. This is because, your site, in the long run should be made in such a way that you could solely focus on building content rather than keep working for traffic. What impression would it create on a visitor if you were to place an ad right in front of his face? Do you think he would return? The answer is simple. No, he will not.

But, that is the place that will get the clicks readily. And you should also make way for returning traffic. There is one way you could do this. This way, the visitor will, no doubt, realize that you have placed an ad in front of him. But still not be disturbed to the extent of not returning back. This is the classic case of having your cake and eating it too.

Let me explain how it is done. First and foremost, you need to revamp the colors on your Google ad. For my case, I take the example of my webpage with a white background and black text. To make your ad merge into your content, set the background as white, Title and content text as black and border also to white. Preview the ad. Doesn't it look much like your page?

Now, set the font in your page to Arial. This is very important as the Googls ads appear in this font and you do yourself good if your prime content is also in the same font. Now the stage is set to place your ad on your page and make it look at one among your other content.

But, there is more that you could do. Look at the ads that are between 120 and 180 pixel widths. These are the ads that you need to place at the red hot area. Only thing that you need to do is rephrase your prime page content in such a way that you could put in a few of the content that you need to say point-wise, preferably linking each of these points to another related page.

Finally, what you need to do is put some paragraphs, and then a couple of pointwise written contents, and insert an ad just below this, following it up with a few other points. When this is done effectively you could have a series of points all of the same width and linking it to other pages. And there in between you would also have some of your ads. Believe me, this does not irritate the visitor, though the 'Ads by Goooogle' is visible. This is because, the visitor is able to see many more related links, and who knows,he might end up clicking the more relevant ad on your page.

Adsense Ready Websites-The Truth You Deserve To Know

A lot of people use Google Adsense on their websites to generate extra income. Some people earn enough to pay their web hosting costs – others earn substantially more.

Basically, you sign up for an Adsense account, cut and paste some code on your website and you’re done. The code displays Google ads and, whenever one of your website visitors clicks on an ad, you get paid. Simple. Good for the surfers, good for Google and good for you.

As with any online money earning technique, users try to maximise their earnings by a variety of methods – trying different types and positions of ads, different background colours, different link colours etc. Most of these techniques are accepted as fair practice by Google – but some are frowned upon.

One very common method used to increase the probability that visitors will click on the ads has been the alignment of thumbnail images beside the ads. This has always been a bit of a grey area - and Google never really gave definitive advice on whether or not it was considered to be a legitimate tactic to use.

However, Google has now made a clear statement that this is not allowable - you can see the full post at the Google Adsense Blog - but it's summarised below.

AD AND IMAGE PLACEMENT: A POLICY CLARIFICATION
”We've recently received a number of emails from publishers asking how we feel about the placement of images near Google ad units. There's been some confusion on this issue, and so we turned to our policy team to set the record straight.”

CAN I PLACE SMALL IMAGES NEXT TO MY GOOGLE ADS?
”We ask that publishers not line up images and ads in a way that suggests a relationship between the images and the ads. If your visitors believe that the images and the ads are directly associated, or that the advertiser is offering the exact item found in the neighbouring image, they may click the ad expecting to find something that isn't actually being offered. That's not a good experience for users or advertisers.

Publishers should also be careful to avoid similar implementations that people could find misleading. For instance, if your site contains a directory of Flash games, you should not format the ads to mimic the game descriptions.”

WHAT IF I PLACE A SPACE OR A LINE BETWEEN MY IMAGES AND MY ADS? WOULD THAT WORK?
”No. If the ads and the images appear to be associated, inserting a small space or a line between the images and ads will not make the implementation compliant.”

DOES THIS MEAN I CAN'T PLACE ADS ON PAGES WITH IMAGES?
”You can definitely place Google ads on pages containing images -- just make sure that the ads and images are not arranged in a way that could easily mislead or confuse your visitors. For example, if you run a stock photography site with a catalogue of thumbnail images, don't line the ads up with the thumbnails in a way that could be misleading.”

So, if you're a Google Adsense publisher and using this technique, you may want to remove the images - otherwise you risk having your Adsense income removed.

Adsense Success Tips

The scramble to make money from adsense is truly on. The internet is littered with information on how to make money with adsense. For those new to adsense and those who want to plunge into this business of making money with adsense, the single biggest challenge is how to scale and get over the mountain of information available and get the most helpful tips. I have searched the internet just to see what there is, but I can tell you that most of the information available on how to successfully make money with adsense is either too simplistic or unhelpful. So what should you look out for when starting an adsense campaign?

Almost certainly, running a successful and profitable adsense campaign is complex than it has been portrayed. It is not true that all you need to do is sign up for an adsense account, get some code, paste it on your pages and sit back and wait for the money to start rolling in. If that is what you thought, you are in for a long and frustrating wait. The truth is that you are not going to make any money with adsense.

To make the long story short, here are just a few of the most important things that constitute a successful adsense campaign.

• Keywords/key phrases
• Content
• Visitors (traffic)
• Site optimization.
• Links

Keywords/Key Phrases.

These are the terms that people use to search for information/products/services on the internet using search engines and directories. You need to use keywords or key phrases that will drive relevant traffic to your website. Search engines will use this plus your site’s content to determine what ads to serve on your site. This is can also play a role in the indexing and ranking of your site by some search engines. Once again use relevant keywords or key phrases.

Content.

Very important for any successful adsense campaign. When setting up any website, you want it to rank high and so attract traffic. Search engines have become smarter in their indexing and ranking of websites. They want relevant and quality search results for their users. So of necessity, for any website to rank high, it must have relevant and quality content. Some people can manipulate this but be assured such sites don’t rank highly for long. So you must have relevant and quality content. There are many sources for free and quality content on the internet.

Traffic.

For you to earn good money from adsense, you need traffic to your site. You can get this organically (from high ranking on search engines) or buy traffic. The former is the cheapest because it is free.

Site optimization.

This includes but not limited to proper use of titles, meta tags, keywords/key phrases, alt tags and relevant content. Avoid excessive the use of flash movies, java script, graphics and animations because search engines do not consider these. It can’t be any clearer than that. Follow that cue and you should be alright.

Links.

Some search engines put a great deal of weight on the number of relevant links pointing to your site, the more, the better. Notice I said relevant links. So do yourself one big favour and I know for new websites it is not easy, find sites to link to you. Search engines consider more relevant incoming links to mean that your site is full of relevant content and that is why sites want to link to yours, naturally this is true. Here is what Google™ says, “PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."

Google Adsense and Top Paying Keywords

For starters, to make good money from Google Adsense™ you need to optimise your website with top paying keywords. For Google™ to know what ads to serve on your site, it has to send a robot (software with specific instructions) to scan your site and know what it is all about (your website’s theme). On the basis of the results obtained from that scan (which takes a flash), Google™ will go ahead and serve you with ads that match your site’s content (Adsense).

This is where the much talked about top paying keywords come in. If the theme of your website is centred on a certain topic for example Holiday Tours, Google™ will serve ads on your site relating to holiday tours. So all you need to do is to find the top paying keywords for your niche and optimise them for your site. By optimising I mean using the keywords in your title, description and body (Note: Optimisation means more than this, it is fairly complex and I will save that discussion for another day).

But is that all? That all you need to do is to find top paying keywords, use them to optimise your site and you will be served with ads that will reward you a couple of dollars per click? Definitely not and I will tell you why. Let us use ‘Holiday Tours’ as our top paying keyword and let us assume that it pays $15 a click (bear in mind that there are keywords that cost up to $50 a click). Taking that keyword and using it to optimise your website does not necessarily mean that Google™ will serve you with ads that will earn you say $5 or $10 a click. Why?

Reason being that there are many advertisers who could be bidding for that keyword. Yes some could be paying $15, but again there are those who will pay as low as 5 cents for the same keyword. Now this is the trouble. Google™ could be serving you ads relevant to your theme, but those ads could be costing as low as 10 cents and hence low payouts. There are speculations as to what criteria Google™ uses to serve high paying keywords. Some say it is the age of you website, the older the better, some say the popularity, the higher the ranking the better. These once again are rumours and none of these guys work for Google™.

The lesson here is that do not think that all you need to do is to grab high paying keywords, use them to optimise your website and you will get high paying clicks. It takes more than that. And if that was the case, trust me, we could all be displaying high cost ads on our sites and earning thousands, but unfortunately it is not the case. So for those paying a premium for “high paying keywords”, you may want to think twice before you part with your hard earned dollar. In any case you can get high paying keywords for free, yes I mean without paying a cent.
